Product Description:
The backing flange is a flat ring with a raised face and a low hub with a rounded bore to accommodate the stub end. It is not welded to the pipe. The stub end, which has a lap to match the flange face, is butt-welded to the pipe. The two components are assembled together before bolting to the mating flange.

The stub end and flange conform to ASME B16.9 and B16.5 standards, respectively, for dimensions. Available in all pressure classes (Class 150 to Class 1500) and sizes.
